Why offers, not ideas, drive sales
If you want more sales online, I can make this simple for you. Make more offers.
Not more random content. Not more confusion. Not more “I’ll wait until the timing is right.” More offers, to the right people, more often.
Consistency beats random posting
A lot of people have good ideas, but they never actually ask for the sale. That’s the problem. You can’t build revenue on hope. You build it by showing up consistently and giving people a clear next step.
If you disappear for long stretches, your audience forgets you. If you stay visible and make the offer, they have a chance to say yes.
What a real offer looks like
An offer is not just a product. It’s the result someone wants.
If I’m selling coaching, the offer isn’t “coaching.” The offer is the transformation, the outcome, the specific next step that matters to the buyer. That’s the part people pay for.
So I need to say it clearly, and I need to say it enough times for the right people to hear it.
Make offers to the right people
Showing up everywhere does not help if I’m showing up in front of the wrong people. I want the person who is ready to buy. That means I need an avatar, a message, and a channel strategy that match.
I can do that through:
- Social media
- Video
- Ads
- Blog content
The point is not to be loud. The point is to be relevant.
Stories sell the result, not the product
People buy outcomes. That’s why stories matter. When I tell the story of a client getting traction because they made more offers, I’m not bragging. I’m showing what becomes possible when someone actually applies the process.
The source version mentions client results, including one client moving into the 20K to 30K per month range and another reaching thousands of members. Those are powerful, but they need proof before publication.
What I would do this week
If I were rebuilding this article for today, I’d keep the core message and make it sharper:
- Define the offer clearly
- Make the ask more often
- Put the offer in front of the right people
- Use content to support the offer, not replace it
That’s how I think about sales online. More offers, better offers, and a clearer path to the next yes.
